Hallmark HM 003 CD (Europe 1990)
The band pictured on the artwork of the Hallmark CD is the 1968-1969-1970 lineup of Roger Earl, Kim Simmonds, Chris Youlden, Tone Stevens and Dave Peverett.
Actual lineup:
Kim Simmonds – Guitar, Vocals
Paul Raymond - Keyboards, Guitar, Vocals
Ian Ellis - Bass
Tommy Farnell - Drums
This was the “Skin ‘n’ Bone” tour. Paul Raymond is really out front with Kim Simmonds at this point, sharing the lead vocals and playing some great organ. Kim, as usual delivers some spectacular guitar, but also some excellent harmonica work.
Not available in stores - FM Broadcast
Track #5 “Memory Pain” (a Percy Mayfield song) is mistitled “Deserves Me Right To Suffer”, mistaken for John Lee Hooker’s “It Serves Me Right To Suffer” (which in turn was the direct inspiration for Mayfield’s song).
