Various Artists – Forever Young - 40 Great Versions

A song written by Bob Dylan, it first appeared on his “Planet Waves” LP on Asylum in January 1974, when he briefly joined that label before returning to Columbia / CBS a couple of years later. Uncommonly, there were two versions of that song on the LP: a long “slow” version (last track on side A) and a shorter “fast” version (first track on side B). Both versions were recorded with The Band, as were all other tracks on the LP.
